What a great day for a car show. Actually, it was a great day for doing anything outside. With the ungodly weather that we have had all summer, this day was to kill for. Taking advantage of the weather was the 16th annual Walter F. Philips Memorial Old Cars Against Cancer Wheels in Motion Day that took place on Sunday, September 9th at Westport Plaza. All proceeds benefiting the National Children’s Cancer Society.

Our club showed it’s support with entering twenty one cars and trucks and also helped with a $200 donation from our treasury. Of course, no club event would not be complete unless wrapped around a good meal, so we also made a stop at Patrick's for
an early lunch.

Although, the day is mostly a car display, they did have a few special trophies and Scott Lewis’s Mustang took home a trophy for being the vehicle that most represented the military.

We thank all of our members who were able to help out that day.
